Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) is suitable for small dents where the paint surface has not been broken.

Chip and Scuff Repairs:
Stone chips and other minor damage looks unsightly once it begins to accumulate, especially on dark coloured cars. But worse still, because the stone chips, scratches and scuffs have penetrated your paint, you car will be prone to rust. Once rust sets in it is very difficult to remove.

Alloy Wheel Refurbishment

Alloy Wheel RefurbishmentAlloy wheels are often one of the first places that wear and tear becomes obvious. Scratches and scuffs from a kerb when parking, damage from potholes in the road or chips and dents from everyday driving can be quickly and easily restored.

In 99.9% of cases we fully refurbish the wheel, with the tyre off. All alloy wheels are shot-blasted by hand to remove previous layers of lacquer and paint to obtain a bare metal surface in preparation for coating. If the wheels are in a particularly poor condition they are chemically stripped before shot-blasting. The alloy wheels are then dressed and filled to deal with any kerb damage to the rim edges. (We do not deal with buckled or badly dented wheels as these are safety related structural repairs and wheels should be written off and replaced). Next the wheels are heated to remove any air from the alloy and a powder coat finish is applied and then cured for for a set period of time. If the wheel is having a "special" or "bespoke" finish a wet paint layer is applied at this stage. Finally a clear lacquer coat is applied over the first coating in the same manner, thus enhancing and protecting the alloy wheel.

Window Tinting:

Window TintingCar window tinting is one of the best ways to improve the look of your vehicle. It adds style and elegance to the appearance as well as many other benefits. Benefits of window tinting include:

  • provides improved privacy
  • reduces excess summer solar heat through the glass. This helps reduce in car temperatures thereby reducing your reliance on air conditioning
  • reduces glare
  • blocks over 99% of harmful UV radiation
  • adds additional protection in terms of safety and security
  • adds value to your vehicle
  • protected by a scratch resistant coating for extra durability and easier cleaning

Windscreen Repair

Windscreen RepairActon Coachworks will always first try to repair your windscreen before replacing it with a new one, saving you both time and money. Sometimes though, the type, size and position of the damage will mean that the whole windscreen needs to be replaced.

Why should I get my windscreen repaired:

  • any chip left untreated may at end time spread quickly resulting in a crack to the windscreen. If this happens when you are driving, this could seriously affect your safety. Also, you will then need to have your windscreen replaced, a much more costly option.
  • windscreen chips or cracks can cause your vehicle to fail its MOT
  • Windscreen repair can save you money. Some insurance companies charge an excess for windscreen replacement.
  • windscreen damage can reduce the effectiveness of airbags.
